Monty L. Randle, 73, of Ferdinand, passed away May 7th at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand. He was born April 11, 1946 in Frankfort, IN to Leroy and Agnes (Scolley) Randle. Monty married Connie Rumer on April 9, 1972.

Monty was a 1964 graduate of Clinton Central High School. He drove a semi for 38 years. He served in the Indiana National Guard for 13 years.

Monty enjoyed watching his granddaughter play softball and his grandson in the Forest Park Marching Band. He was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. Monty is survived by his wife, Connie of Ferdinand, a son, Robert H. (Sylvia) Randle, a granddaughter, Kaitlyn and a grandson Alex all of Ferdinand; a brother, Paul A. (Mary) Randle of Frankfort and a sister, Diane “Dee” (Dick) Smith of Forest, IN.

Monty was preceded in death by both his parents, a brother Donald Randle, a sister Bonnie S. Beard, another sister, a half-sister and a half-brother. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 AM at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand with burial to follow St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Dale. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8:00 PM at Becher Funeral Home and also on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
