Adams announces the passing of Mr. Morris Farmer, Sr., 73, who transitioned on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at his residence. Morris Farmer Sr. was the son of Samuel Farmer and Hattie Woodard. Growing up he lived in Yamacraw Village, West Savannah, and Carver Village and attended Thompkins High School.

He never received his High School Diploma because he had to quit school to help take care of his family. This shows you that even as a young man he cared about family. Morris Farmer Sr. was married twice the early part of his life he married Barbara Ann Gillard and later on in life he married Patricia Ann Hardy.

He worked faithfully at Union Camp in Garden City for 34 years from which he is now retired. He enjoyed the outdoors fishing, crabbing, working on cars or just working around the house. He had his own personal relationship with the Lord, he may not have had a church home, but he always said Sunday is my time with the Lord looking at church on T.V.

He liked watching Charles Stanley (“his favorite quote was God knows my heart and he knows how much I Love him and I don’t need a building to prove it do you understand what I’m saying”). He valued his relationship with his family, it was very important to him. He would say (I Love all my churn) every last one of you.

He will forever be remembered by his nine children: Merline Robinson, Cheryl McCoy (Jeffrey McCoy), Morris Farmer Jr. (Sharon Farmer), Beverly Armstead (Aaron Armstead), Mark Farmer, Larry Farmer ( Janesia Farmer), Dale Green( Cynthia Green), Leola Haye (Derick Haye), Magan Farmer. 29 Grand Children and 14 Great Grand Children and lots of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends he Loved. Proceeded in death by both parents Samuel Farmer, Hattie Woodard and Fred Woodard Brothers (Samuel Farmer, Larry Farmer and Chris Farmer).

Left to cherish his memory his sisters Frances Melvin, Gloria Brown, Dollie Davis, Dorothy Pinkston, Auad-Avdulmane-Abrahean and brother Lawrence Woodard. He will always be Loved and remembered… Rest on Morris Farmer Sr. The Children and Family would like to say Thank you to you Morris Farmer Jr. for taking on the roll as daddy’s care giver. We can never thank you enough.

Adams announces funeral services for Mr. Morris Farmer Sr., which will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 29, 2018 in The Adams Chapel. Viewing: 10:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M., Friday at the funeral home. Interment: Bonaventure/Greenwich Cemetery.
