Obituary for Morton H. “Mort” Clark Morton Harvey “Mort” Clark, age 95, passed away unexpectedly November 20, 2018, and is now with his Lord and Savior. He was born June 5, 1923 in Hesperia, MI to Clifford and Clara (Fairchild) Clark. Mort was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and an active member of the VFW Post 446.

He worked for Teledyne Continental Motors for over 30 years, where he had been a machinist and UAW Union Steward prior to his retirement. Mort had also been a carpenter for many years, was a member of the Carpenters Local 100, and loved making woodcrafts for his family and friends. In February of 1948, he married Winnifred Saylor and she preceded him in death on January 10, 2003.

He was a member of Anchor Point Bible Church (formerly Berean Church), where he had been a Board Member and cooked for the Wednesday Night Children’s Program for 19 years. Mort enjoyed camping and was an original member of the Trail Dusters Camper Club since 1961. He was currently also a member of the Care Free Camper Club.

For many years, he had been a season ticket holder for the Muskegon Mohawks, Fury, and Lumberjack teams. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, following Tiger baseball games, and playing cards. Mort liked to bake and cook, and was especially known for his famous pancakes that were made from scratch.

His family was very important to him, and he is SURVIVED by 2 daughters: Rosanne Pomeroy of Muskegon, Kim (Jim) Adams of Fruitport; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Dale (Mary) Clark, Larry Clark; 3 sisters: Mona Bush, Bev Curtis, Marlene Harrold; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Marie Zerns. He was also preceded in death by 3 children: Terry Chadwick, Randy and Cliff Clark; brother, Ivan Clark; 2 sisters, Donna Smith and Annabelle Findley. A CELEBRATION OF MORTON’S LIFE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Anchor Point Bible Church (635 Seminole Rd.

) with Dr. Rob N. Renberg, Jr. officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS to the Anchor Point Bible Church Memorial Fund will be appreciated.
