Mother Nettie’s Obituary Mother Nettie Robinson Amos Mabry, 85, of Jamestown, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2019. Visitation will be 11am on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Christ Rescue Temple, 1500 N Dunleith Ave. , Winston-Salem, NC 27105.

Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens of Guilford, 5710 Riverdale Dr., Jamestown, NC 27282. Nettie Robinson Amos Mabry was born in Florence, South Carolina to the late Benjamin and Amelia Robinson on July 22, 1933.

She attended Florence Public Schools. Mother Mabry relocated to Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1956. She married the late Toney C. Amos, Sr. in 1960 at the home of the late, Bishop Eli and Mother Agnes Daniels.

She worked as a domestic worker for more than thirty years. She was a faithful member of Christ Temple from 1956-1982, until the inception of Christ Rescue Temple, where she continued to serve in many capacities. She was a choir member, usher, missionary, and various other roles during her tenure.

Mother Mabry also served in ministry at Bethel Apostolic Church and Shiloh Apostolic Temple. When she departed this life, she was devoutly serving as the church mother of Abundant Life Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic. Due to her sweet demeanor and fun-loving personality, Mother Mabry was affectionately called by many, Aunt Nettie.

Mother Nettie Mabry is preceded in death by her first husband, Toney C. Amos, Sr., second husband, Casper “Jimmy” Mabry, her son, Johnny Ray Amos; and her five siblings: James Robinson, Sr., Bertha Trapier, Rosa Lee Knight, Ben Robinson, Jr., and Louise McCall. Mother Nettie is survived by her son, Elder Toney C. Amos, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Edna Amos of Jamestown, NC, granddaughter, Toneysha Frisby (Timothy) of Morrisville, NC, grandson, Tyler Amos of Jamestown, NC. , great granddaughter, Teagan Frisby; three sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family to cherish her memory.
