Philip Crittle was born on November 17, 1961, to the Edith (Ronie) Crittle Sawyer, in Newport News, Virginia. Phillip was preceded in death by his mother Edith Crittle Sawyer, grandfather Charles E. Crittle and his nephew Damoni Sawyer. Phillip is survived by his daughter Victoria Bolton of Newport News, Virginia and two grandchildren of Newport News, Virginia.

His grandmother, Alice Crittle, of North Carolina. Three sisters Yvonne Thompson (Ramanda) of Richmond, Virginia, Annette and Antoinette of Newport News, Virginia. Two uncles Charles Crittle (Sheryl) of Louisiana and William Crittle of North Carolina.

Five aunts Angel (Chris), Lisha Pinnix, Donna Crittle of North Carolina, Dorthy Sede of Georgia, Glenda Banks of Maryland and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Phillip loved the Lord with everything in his heart and was a faithful member when he could. He was a member of Fountain of Life Outreach Ministry with Pastor Joseph Hadley.

Phillip loved to fish, and remodel houses, and he love people; he helped people whenever he could and he always had a big smile on his face.
