Muriel could do anything. She loved learning and taught herself accounting, business management, how to use a typewriter, and even how to play the organ. She worked for Ford Motors as a bookkeeper.

She then owned Fulcon Plastics supplying insulation blankets to concrete workers. She later bought Arrowhead Builder’s Supply, a hardware store and lumber yard, in Longville, MN. When Devan said he didn’t know how to run a store like that, she said, “Then you’ll learn!

” For twenty-five years they had great success. She loved the outdoors of Minnesota and did everything that was possible. She loved hunting, fishing, camping, boating, water/cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.

She also loved music and enjoyed playing the organ and piano, and was a wonderful singer and dancer. Muriel was a beautiful person. She was known to be very compassionate, but sharp-witted and strong-willed.

She never backed down and would do what was right. She was a perfectionist in all that she did and her husband thought she always looked lovely. Muriel is survived by her husband; Devan K.
