Muriel Reid Poston Goodwin of Hudson, NH passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2019 at the age of 93. Muriel was born in Somerville, MA on July 14, 1925 and she graduated from Medford High School as a member of the class of 1942. Pre-deceased by her two sweethearts Charles Poston and Francis “Bud” Goodwin, Muriel courageously raised four beautiful daughters, all while devoting her life caring for many children, who she loved as her own, in her home daycare.

She also held many other titles in life including that of a popcorn ball maker, clerical worker, bookbinder, foster mother, nurse’s aide, cake decorator and home health aide. As an active and beloved member of the Hudson Community Church, she dedicated her life to teaching Sunday School. She was a member of Women’s fellowship and an enthusiastic supporter of Heifer International.

A “Nana” and loving mother to all who were fortunate to know her, she blessed everyone with her infectious laugh, beautiful smile and her “sassy” and classic personality. In her youth, she was quite the dancer and passed on her love of performance to her daughters, grand-daughters and great granddaughters. She is survived by her four daughters, Patricia with whom she made her home, Barbara, Cheryl, Mary, her dear friend Ellie, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her fur babies Teacup, Chloe and Chance.

In addition to her two husbands, Muriel was predeceased by her infant son, grandson Brian, and stepdaughter Brenda. The family wishes to thank all the caregivers who came to the house daily and a very special thanks to the Adult Day Service program at Alvirne High School. A memorial service will be held at the Hudson Community Church, 19 Central St. Hudson, NH on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 10:30am.
