Obituary for Myer G. Borish Myer G. Borish, 99, of Pembroke Pines, Florida passed away December 1, 2018. Loving father of Stephen (Maureen) and Neil (Mary Lou); cherished grandfather of Richard, Scott and Andrew; adored great grandfather of Brittany, Kaitlyn, Chayse, Michael and Aria. During his time in the Army, Myer received many awards including 019 Purple Heart Medal, 053 Good Conduct Medal, 071 EAME Theater Service Medal with Bronze Star and 072 WWII Victory Medal.

He fought in the Battle of Colmar Pocket 15 December 1944-19 February 1945, Alsace Campaign and was wounded in France on 24 January 1945. Myer received Honors/Decorations and Unit Credits including, Southern France, Ardennes Alsace, Presidential Unit Citation Streamer Silver Colmar Band and French Croix de Guerre with Palm Streamer embroidered Colmar. The family suggest donations to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
