Myrna Jessie Helen Boe September 24, 1925 – December 18, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card MYRNA JESSIE HELEN (OHM) (PATER) BOE Myrna Jessie Helen (Ohm) (Pater) Boe, 93, passed away on December 18, 2018 at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield. Myrna was born on September 24, 1925 in Eden Valley Township, Renville County, Sherwood, North Dakota the daughter of Henry and Ella (Revo) Ohm. In 1938, at the age of 12, she moved with her family to Minnesota and lived in the Waltham and Hayfield areas.
She graduated in 1943 from Hayfield High School. On November 6, 1943 she married S/Sgt. Gerhart (Ted) Pater and they lived in Staten Island, New York for a brief time, before returning to the Waltham area.
On November 20, 1967 Ted passed away. On September 20, 1969 she married Philip Boe and they moved to Hayfield. Phil passed away June 4, 1998.
Myrna was active in her church and community, serving on the Hayfield Ambulance for 12 years, and worked at Citizens State Bank and also with Vernon and Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, doing crafts, quilting and gardening. She enjoyed traveling, going to Colombia, South America with Jeaneen’s family and to Europe several times to visit Joleen and her family, as well as visiting with children in various states.
Most of all Myrna enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Myrna is survived by her five children, Larry (Carolyn) Pater of Champaign, IL; Jeaneen (Don) Wilhelmi of Minnetonka, MN; Lowell (Michaela) Pater of Corpus Christi, TX; Bradley (Joan) Pater of Hayfield, MN; Joleen Pater of Poynton, England; grandchildren, Derek Pater of San Jose, CA; Anna (Pablo) Palchizaca of Columbia Heights, MN; Nathan (Jessica) Wilhelmi of Rochester, MN; Katie (Gabe) Christenson, Rochester, MN; Rachel Stickland of Gex, France; Christopher Stickland of Poynton, England and five great-grandchildren; Isabelle, Zachary and Ryan Wilhelmi; Faith and Jace Christenson; three step great-grandchildren, Isaac, Madison and Hannah VanRavenhorst; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Ted and Phil, and sister, Esther Boysen.
Visitation will be 3:00–5:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield with visitation one hour before the service at the church on Sunday. The funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 104 1st Street SE in Hayfield with Reverend Paul Hauschild officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.
