Myrna Rivera, age 65, of Lorain, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019 at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Born September 5, 1953 in Lares, Puerto Rico, she moved to Lorain in 1970. Myrna worked as a group leader at Bonne Bell in Westlake for 29 years, retiring in 2015.

She was a member of Iglesia Christanca casa de Refugio y Resurrection in Lorain. Myrna enjoyed cooking, knitting, sewing, crafts, going to church and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving is her son, Domingo of Lorain; a daughter, Angela (Luis) Madera of Lorain; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; her mother, Maria Jacinta Soto of Lorain; brothers, Jose Antonio Rivera of Florida, Angel Rivera of Puerto Rico; and George Ivan Rivera of Lorain; sisters, Andrea Rivera of Puerto Rico, Nora Iris Rivera of New Jersey and Leonilda Rivera of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her father, Angel Rivera. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 pm until the time of services at 6:00 pm at Fountain of Life Church, 219 E. 28th St., Lorain. The Dovin Funeral and Cremation Specialists, 2701 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, is handling the arrangements.
