Myrtle Bertha Rodgers August 15, 1934 – April 20, 2019 Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Myrtle Bertha (Wright) Rodgers was born in Wilmington, DE on August 15, 1934. She was the last of 13 siblings. She left her earthly body on April 20, 2019 to join her heavenly family.

She was the daughter of the late Janie Alberta and Noah Wright. Myrtle was determined to get her G.E. D even though she was in her late 50’s. She worked at Woolworth Five & Dime, Bank of Delaware and lastly Family Services of Delaware.

She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter Pearl(Becky) and son-in-law Don Brooks, 4 grandchildren; Raymond, Cheryl, Hope Winchester and Kevin Winchester(Brooks). A nephew whom she raised as a son, Izaak Gregory, his wife Sandra and adopted grandchildren, a special niece, Elsie Thomas, companion of 47 years, Ben Green and many other relatives and friends, and especially St. Paul’s Church family. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday May 6, 2019 at St. Paul UAME Church, 3114 N. Market Street Wilm.
