OBITUARY Myrtle Louise Lennon January 25, 1934 – January 28, 2019 Myrtle Lennon also known by friends as “Mert” was granted her angel wings on January 28th 2019. She was 85 years young and was loved by all. She was the sister of John MacLeod and the late David MacLeod.

The loving wife of the late John B. Lennon and was also predeceased by her first love, Harold M. Moore and resided in Sudbury, MA. She was the beloved mother of four children and their spouses: Harold and Karen Moore, Cheryl and Bill Hazeltine, Scott and Maria Moore, Sandi and Warren Plachy. Both her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her heart and joy and would answer to either “Nana” or “Nina”.

These amazing grandchildren are: Ashlee & Jesse Alling, Amanda & Matt Audette, Samantha & Dave Hershberger, Chris Moore and Danielle Plachy as well as adorable great grandbabies: Owen and Claire. She was always up for an adventure, whether that be camping, movies with the kids, scrapbooking, day trips with her sister-in-law Bunny, enjoying the hot sun (never too hot! ) traveling with the family or shopping (oh boy…loved this).

The holidays with family were her favorite time of the year. She loved hosting the Christmas Eve family party, bringing us all together for the evening where we laughed, shared stories, swapped joke gifts and enjoyed her famous “Sweet and Sour Meatballs”. She never saw herself as getting older, age never held her back.

She loved working at Sudbury Pines Extended Care facility where she built tremendous friendships with both the staff and the patients where many of them called her “Merty”. Celebration of Life will take place at the Duckett-J.S. Waterman & Sons, 656 Boston Post Road, Sudbury. on Saturday morning, February 2, 2019 from 9-11:00 AM with a memorial service starting immediately thereafter.

Interment will be private.
