Nancy A. Palmer of New Smyrna Beach, FL and formerly of Mendon, MA passed away on December 8th, 2018 at Halifax Hospice in Edgewater, FL after a short battle with cancer. Born August 3rd 1933, Nancy was the water safety director at Girls Inc. in Worcester, MA for more than 40 years. Additionally, she owned and operated Spring Hill Farm in Mendon, MA for three decades providing horse riding instruction to her students.

She was also a volunteer usher at The Little Theater in New Smyrna Beach. She leaves behind a large, loving family that includes: son David Palmer and wife Lorna of Mendon, MA; daughter Susan DeVardo and husband Natale of Delray Beach, FL; daughters Lynn Palmer of Jamaica Plain, MA, Karen Emond of Grafton, MA, and Beth Palmer of Lexington, KY.

She also leaves 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and countless good friends in both Massachusetts and Florida. Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Donald Palmer in 2003 and her daughter Jo-Ann Martin in 2009. Nancy was a lifelong swimmer, a lover of horses, and a wonderful contributor to many communities.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Nancy’s family on Tuesday December 18, 2018 from 3PM to 5PM at BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. MAIN St., RT 122, Uxbridge, followed by a remembrance honoring her life from 5PM to 6PM.
