Nancy Lena Derochis, 94, of Ambridge, died Saturday, May 18, 2019 in Concordia at Villa St. Joseph. She was born January 23, 1925, in Johnstown, Pa. , to the late Joseph and Lena (Galucci) Gerace.

She was a retired secretary for the Ambridge School District and a member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church, Ambridge. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, Alex Derochis, two brothers, Michael and Sam Gerace, and two sisters, Helen Pantano and Rose Ann (Gossard) Navratil.

Surviving are two daughters, Lucy (Michael) Harvey of Wadsworth, OH, Karen (James) Ivancik of Ambridge, five grandchildren, Jennifer (Bob) Lee of Barberton, Ohio, Amanda (Matt) Keller of Meadville, PA, Carissa (Ron) Orlowski of Hopewell Twp. , Ashley Ivancik of Ambridge, Tina (Andrew) Tessaro of Ambridge, great grandson, Remington Keller, sister, Mary (Elmo) Mariani of Ambridge and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. in the John Syka Funeral Home, Inc. 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge where prayers will be offered Thursday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 A.M. in Good Samaritan Catholic Church.

Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. The family wishes to thank the nurses and aides at Rochester Manor and Concordia at Villa St. Joseph for the care and love they showed Nancy while she was there and a special thank you to Phil who treated her with such great love.
