OBITUARY Nasri P Akl July 8, 1937 – December 28, 2018 Nasri Philippe Akl, age 81, entered into eternal rest on December 28, 2018. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jacqueline Medawar Akl, his daughter Mirna Akl Chbeir (Joey), and his son Hanny Akl (Mary) along with his grandchildren William, Danielle, Charlie, Maria, Austin, Nicholas, and Alexandra; his brother Doumit Akl (Siham) and sister Nawal Chahoud (Elie) in Lebanon as well as his sister Zmorrod Garnem (Antwan) in Birmingham, Alabama. Nasri was born in Lebanon in 1937 and immigrated to the United States with his wife in 1975 on their honeymoon.

He quickly engrossed himself in the community learning new trades and making new friends. He was a devote Catholic and active member at St. Elias. To those who knew him, he will be remembered for his infectious smile, concern for others, and humble simplicity.

His kindness, warmth and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Visitation (10a-11a) and a funeral Mass (at 11a) will be celebrated on Monday, December 31, 2018 at St. Elias. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church.
