Obituary for Nathan Joel Morton Print Nathan Morton, age 74, of Cleburne passed away February 3, 2019 in Cleburne. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel, with Eddy Carrell officiating.

Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Nathan was born in Alexandra, Arkansas to Willard Morton and Anna Curry Morton on June 14, 1944. He attended school in Arkansas and Cleburne.

Nathan married Teresa Jones on December 30, 1977. He attended Hill College and numerous technical schools. He worked as an electrician and maintenance mechanic at Johns Manville for 22 years.

Nathan was a veteran of Vietnam and served in the Air Force. He was awarded the Air Force Longevity Service Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Service Award, American Campaign Medal and the National Defense Medal. He was a member of the American Legion, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Disabled American Veterans.

He was a devoted Christian, father and husband. Nathan was preceded in death by his parents Willard and Anna Morton and his nephew Michael Meredith. He is survived by his wife Teresa of 41 years, his daughter Donna Finch and her husband Steve, daughter Elizabeth Morton, daughter Lori McCrea and her husband Joe, son Josh Morton and his wife Jennifer, daughter Abigail Carrell and her husband Justin, grandchildren Donovan Finch, Brittany Jardin and husband Stephen, Noelani Essary and husband Jordan, Loralye Gibson and husband Garrett, Coalton West, Megan White and husband Chris, Kalee Childress and husband Tiger, Megan McCrea, Lindsey McCrea, Julienne Morton, Luke Morton, Logan Morton, Ethan Carrell and Justine Carrell and great-grandchildren Berlin Essary, Leon Gibson, Jackson White, Raelynn White and Cohen Childress.

He is also survived by his sister Joann Meredith and husband Bill, sister Willene Walker, brother Richard Morton, sister-in-law Susan Helms and husband Billy and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Justin Clark, Chris White, Tiger Childress, Justin Carrell, Joe McCrea and Billy Helms. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Brady and Ryan Stepp.
