OBITUARY Nathan Leitner December 1, 1917 – January 25, 2019 Nathan Leitner, age 101, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Friday January 25, 2019. Nathan was born December 1, 1917 in New York, NY. A Funeral Service for Nathan Leitner will be held Monday, January 28, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Schwartz Brothers Jeffer Memorial Chapels 114-03 Queens Blvd Forest Hills New York 11375 Burial To Take Place At Montefiore Cemetery, P.O. Box 12098, Saint Albans, New York 11412.

Nat was born in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York, NY, to Jacob and Clara Leitner (Safir) and was a southern Nevada resident since 2009.

Nat served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Abraham, Leitner; and Sylvia “Tzippy”, his beloved wife of 39 years. He is survived by his two sons, Marc Leitner, MD (Terri) and Jack Leitner, MD; seven grandchildren, Yoni Leitner, Orli Leitner-Estrada (Juan), Tali Leitner, Shiri Zaida (Roie), Melanie Leitner-Stubbe (Eric), Karen Leitner-Rumph (Noah), Heidi Elliot (Bret); and nine great-grandchildren, Maya, Aiden, Ella, Miles, Lira, Lilah, Emmy, Julia, and Tyler.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Schwartz Brothers Jeffer Memorial Chapel, Forest Hills, NY. Burial will follow at the Old Montefiore Cemetery, Jamaica, NY. Family requests that memorial donations be made to Chabad of Summerlin and Jewish National Fund (JNF).
