Addotta, 77 years, of Oak Ridge, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on February 4, 1942 in Rincon, Puerto Rico to Isidra (Caro) and Ramon Noriega. Nereida married Vito C. Addotta in 2004 and resided in Jefferson Township, NJ. For 18 years Nereida worked as a Customer Service / Expeditor in the hotels and resorts industry.
Her last employer was with the Wyndham Company in Parsippany, NJ. She was a faithful parishioner, and for more than 20 years was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church in Oak Ridge, NJ. In 1990 she proudly participated in the Catholic Retreat as a liaison for the Paterson Spanish and English Cursillo.
For ten years Nereida was on the Milton First Aid Squad. She will best be remembered for her beautiful smile, warmest of hugs, love of her family, and radiant Light. Nereida was predeceased by her loving parents Isidra and Ramon Noriega, and her dear brothers Louis Noriega and William Noriega in 2017.
She is survived by her beloved husband Vito; her loving children Audrey Russell and her husband Phillip, Annie Fhi and her husband Eddy, and Robert Labady, and her step daughter Amanda Addotta; her cherished grandchildren Tommy, Zachary, Isidra, Isaiah, Imani, and Ivangeline; her loving nieces and nephews Moira, Carol, and Christina, and Steve DaSilva and Billy Noriega; and her dear siblings Carmen DaSilva and her husband Fred, Diana Block and her husband Ted and Wilson Noriega, and her sister-in-law Teresita Noriega. The family will receive visitors on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 La Rue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (For GPS use 1 Post Place). A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11am at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, 5635 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438.
