Obituary for Nettie Ruth McIntyre Nettie “Ruth” (Wheeler) McIntyre, 77, of Southington, passed away on Tuesday, May 29th at home unexpectedly. She was born in Bristol on Aug. 27, 1940, the daughter of the late Ralph and Louise (DePaulo) Wheeler.

She was employed as a supervisor by the State of CT at the DMV in New Britain for 38 years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting, but most of all she loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her children Dolores Ahern and husband Michael, Richard S. McIntyre, Jeffrey P. McIntyre and wife Lina and Gary A. McIntyre all of Southington, 7 grandchildren Angela LaBelle, Michael and Danielle Ahern, Richard Jr; Christopher ,Kevin and Ryan McIntyre.

She also leaves 2 brothers Robert and James Wheeler of Southington and a sister Patricia Bradley of FL. She was predeceased by a sister Dorothy Michaud. Funeral services will be on Friday at 9:15 am from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St., Southington at 10 am for a Mass.

Burial will be at the Lake Avenue Cemetery in Bristol. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-8 pm For online condolences and directions please visit www.
