Neva Lou Moore Neva Lou Moore, 90 years old, of Green Castle, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville. Neva was born March 3, 1929 in Youngstown, Missouri to George and Sarah May (Buress) Niece. On August 22, 1950 in Kirksville- she married Harold Leon Moore, he survives of the home.

Also surviving: Two sons, Larry (Denise) Moore of New Boston, Missouri, and Hal (Carmen) Moore of Green Castle; grandchildren, Amber Williams, Cody (Lindsay) Moore, Katie (David) Ochs, Kelli (Cameron) Kirmse, and Kristy(Trey) Green; great grandchildren, Noah Williams, Ryleigh Williams, John Moore, and Kendall Kirmse; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, Aven Niece; and a sister, Vonda Shoop. Neva was a lifelong resident of Sullivan and Adair counties.

For a few years she taught at rural schools, including Golden Rule, Kent, and Cottage Grove schools. Most of her life she was a farm wife, loving all her animals. She was baptized February 27, 1966 in Winigan and was a member of the Winigan Christian Church and a member of Women’s Missionary.

Neva enjoyed gardening, talking on the phone, and writing cards and letters. She most loved her children, and her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services for Neva will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Green City.

Burial will follow at Price Cemetery in Winigan. A visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to the service, starting at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Shiloh Children’s Ranch, Winigan Christian Church, or Price Cemetery.
