Nicholas “Big Bully Busick” Busick, 63, of Weirton, WV, on May 8, 2018, entered the ring one last time with his wife and all three of his children at ringside and in his corner. This former World Wrestling Federation star wrestler won the final round against cancer meeting his Maker with the same grit and strength and celebration that he had lived his life. Nicholas was born June 1st 1954, a son of the late Robert and Zora (Risovich) Busick.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by infant brother, Fred. Nicholas was a graduate of Weir High School class of 1972. After completing his education, Nicholas attended the 13th Basic Class of the West Virginia State Police Academy.

Nicholas then went on to serve his home community of the Weirton Police Department, becoming one of the first sworn officers at 19 years of age. While pursuing a professional wrestling career Nicholas traveled to the Metro Atlanta area. During this time Nicholas wrestled for many well-known wrestling agencies, NWA, AWA, Georgia Championship Wrestling, Global Federation, and ESPN Wrestling.

Nicholas continued to serve his community, as a police officer during this time. He was then hired into the prestigious World Wrestling Federation. Due to family illness, Nicholas relocated back to his home town of Weirton, WV.

He then worked under Ted Arneault as the director of the Executive Protection Unit with the Mountaineer Race Track and Gaming Resort for nearly 14 years. Continuing with his law enforcement background, he was a certified defensive tactics instructor, and conducted an investigation firm: CCI Risk Consultants (Criminal Civil Investigations). This work then lead Nicholas into Safety Consultations on various Oil & Gas industries in the Ohio Valley.

Nicholas worked for Alex Paris Contracting, as a Safety and Risk Manager. Nicholas continued to work for Alex Paris Contracting up until and during his final battles with his illness. Nicholas was a friend of Bill W. for 16 years.

He was a competitive powerlifter, since age 15, setting many state and national records including records in the bench press in the National Police Olympics. Nicholas was baptized into the Orthodox faith as an infant. Throughout his life, Nicholas maintained a personal relationship with Christ which was apparent to his family and friends.

Nicholas favorite things included: always putting his faith in God’s hands, barbequing for Serbian holidays, “vitamin fortified” cigars, squatting, and yelling at people for improper gym etiquette. Amongst Nicholas many passions, spending time with his family and friends was by far the most important and favorite. Nicholas was a proud and humble father and husband.

Of the many titles, Nicholas held becoming a Jedo (Grandfather) was the one he was most proud to hold. He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 32 years, Lorie Busick; children, Nichole (Jim) Felouzis, Robert (Ann-Marie) Busick, and Branko (Teresa) Busick; grandchildren, Mila, Ellie, and Robert. Friends will be received from 3-8 PM on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd.
