Obituary for Nick O. Gonzales Nick O. Gonzales, age 83, of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Franciscan Health Rensselaer. Nick was born in Hayes County, Texas on January 10, 1935, the son of Fedencio and Benita (Ortiz) Gonzales. Nick moved to the Rensselaer area in 1959.

He was a long-time employee at Sealy Spring Corporation in Rensselaer, retiring in 1982. He was of the catholic faith and enjoyed reading, hunting and fishing. On September 16, 1961, in Rensselaer, Nick and Myrtle Jean Hale were married.

Myrtle passed away May 13, 2016. Nick is survived by his loving family, daughters Gina Martell (Daryoosh) Gonzales-Farvardin of Newburgh, Indiana and Carla Rae (Thomas) Gonzales-Jarrette of DeMotte, Indiana, grandchildren Jarrod Bridgeman, Blake Jarrette, Parisa Farvardin and Jahan Farvardin, great grandchildren Cordelia Bridgeman, Cassian Bridgeman and soon to arrive Zane Jarrette, two sisters, Patsy Gonzales of Austin, Texas and Pauline Hernandez of San Marcos, Texas and a brother Joe Gonzales of San Marcos, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Fedencio and Benita, his wife Myrtle, two brothers and three sisters.
