Obituary for Noble W. Fox Noble W. Fox age 100, of Upper Sandusky, died at his residence on Wed. June 6, 2018. He was born Mar.

4, 1918 in Mifflin Twp. Wyandot Co. to the late John J. and Magdalena M. (Koehler) Fox. He married M. Kathleen Witzel who survives at their rural home.

Also surviving are their children Beth Fox, Findlay, Jeffrey (Betty) Fox, Upper Sandusky, Mark (Theresa) Fox, PA and Jill Fox, Upper Sandusky, and a grandson Kevin Fox. He was preceded in death by a brother Vernon Fox and a sister Bernice Lahr. He attended Salem Centralized School.

He then served in the United States Army during WW II and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was a lifelong Salem Township grain and livestock farmer. Mr. Fox was a member of Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church.

He served as director of the ASCS, and served on US Commission Co. board, FHA Tiffin, Wyandot Co. Farm Bureau, and Farmer’s Union. He was a member of the American Legion #225, VFW Post #2842, Moose Lodge #1093 and former member of the Upper Sandusky Lion’s Club. Mr. Fox enjoyed bowling and playing Euchre.

As a young man he enjoyed his draft horses, and often helped other farmer’s in the area using his team of horses. He drove his team of horses that pulled the wagon for Noble Goodman when he won the National Corn Husking Contest in the 1930’s. A funeral service will be held Sat.

June 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bringman Clark Funeral Home with Chaplain Steve Sturgeon officiating. Interment will be in Schoenberger Cemetery west of Upper Sandusky with full Military Honors provided by the Upper Sandusky Veterans Color Guard. Visitation is from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Sat.
