Nora B. Zientkowski (nee Klimala) age 97, of Orland Park, formerly of Tomahawk, WI and Harvey, IL passed away on December 5, 2018. Nora was born in Harvey, IL and the fourth child of Louis and Caroline Klimala. She attended Thornton high school.

After high school she worked various jobs and at one time she held down 2 full time jobs to help the family out. She married the love of her life Raymond Zientkowski in 1948. Ray and Nora purchased a small 5 cottage resort with restaurant and bar in Tomahawk Wisconsin around 1953 called Twin Bay Resort.

It was at that time Nora introduced her thin crust pizza to the menu. Her pizza was widely acclaimed. Upon retirement she sold her pizza recipe and to this day it highly rated.

This was the start of the first pizza served in the north woods area of Wisconsin. Ray and Nora worked tirelessly for 32 years and grew the business quite successfully. Nora loved working hard.

Later in life Ray and Nora traveled through parts of Europe and China. She was an avid pinochle player and later when her husband Ray was dying she was very involved in the Alzheimer’s association. Nora also had a love for gambling and reading.
