Nora Mae Madry, 92, of Washington, passed away at her home at 4:30 am Monday, May 13, 2019. She was born Sept. 21, 1926 in Limestone County, AL to William Cecil and Golden Mattie Casteel Moss.

She married Robert Lee Madry in Athens, AL on Dec. 22, 1945. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1980.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Grady; two sisters, Reba, Wynell; and infant sister, Nora Lee. Surviving are three children, Judy (Jim) Green of Metamora; Roger (Wanda) Madry of Foristell, MO, Patti (Norm) Miller of Colorado Springs, CO; seven grandchildren, Wesley, Kristin, Heath, Roger Jr., Mandi, Jason, and Brad; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Estelle Tucker, Marie Showalter; and one brother, Bobby (Brenda) Adams. Nora Mae was a long time member of Washington Church of Christ.

Her funeral service will be at 12 Noon Friday, May 17, 2019 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington with Don Potts officiating. Visitation will be from 10am to Noon on Friday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
