Obituary for Nora “Marva” Tarvin Marva Tarvin passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born March 30, 1938 to Kineth Arnold and Ruby White Arnold both of Waxahachie, TX. She was raised in the Waxahachie/Italy area including spending summers with her beloved grandmother Maw White in Italy, TX.

She then moved with her father and step mother Sybil Arnold to Ft. Worth where she attended Arlington Heights High School. Marva gave her career to Catholic Charities of Ft.

Worth where she rose from receptionist to Director of Human Res and administered the Adoption Registry. She retired after 36 years of service. Marva was fiercely protective of her staff and loyal to those she loved.

Marva was an example of what compassion looks like and how to be a mother and grandmother. Marva was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by 4 children; Charles Tarvin of Dallas, Robert Tarvin and wife Kelly of Arlington, Elizabeth Gholson of Hot Springs, AR.

, and Susan Redder and husband Dr. Ron Redder of Corsicana; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind to cherish her memories 3 sisters; Sandra Horton of Houston, Cindy Whiteman of Hurst, Sybilou Moler of Addison, and brother Torby Giles of Pace, FL and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give our heart felt thanks to Trisun Care Center, Hand in Hand Hospice, Dr. Ron Rodriguez, Toula Glass, the Moore Family of Corsicana, TX and the Plocica family of Ft.
