Obituary for Norene McCandless Norene M. McCandless Norene M. McCandless, 78 of Butler, passed away on October 7, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia, surrounded by her loving family, Norene was born February 26, 1940 in Butler, PA and was the daughter of the late Dwight and Carolyn Kissinger Weitzel. She was a homemaker, babysitter and also had several jobs outside the home during her lifetime. K-Mart, Sheetz, 7 Eleven, Adams Mfg.

, USPS Bulk Mall Ctr and Penn United. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, reading, crocheting, toothbrush rugs and Swedish weaving. She liked bingo, playing games on her tablet and was an avid NASCAR and Dallas Cowboy fan.

She was a collector of Snow Snickles. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Darrell, whom she married November 30, 1955; daughters Kimberly (Dennis) Stokes, Krisanne (Ken) Whipkey, Kelly (Don) Ragan, Karla (Bob) Capello, Kathy McKee (Alan); 2 sons Kevin (JiII) McCandless and Keith (Samantha) McCandless, her grandchildren Jason, Kasey, Kari, Kayla, Jared, Brian, Nathan, Noelle, Matthew and 13 great- grandchildren; 2 sisters Marilyn and Susan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an Infant granddaughter, Kendra; a grandson, Corey and 2 infant great-granddaughters Hope and Kendall; sisters Carolyn and Cheryl and a brother Dwight.

Per her wishes, there will be no public visitation, Arrangements are under the direction of Thomas M. Smith Funeral Home and Crematory LTD. of Blawnox, PA. Memorial donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023 or donor’s choice.
