Obituary for Mrs. Norma Jean Velde Norma Jean Velde passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2018 with her children by her side. Norma bravely fought Alzheimer’s disease since her diagnosis in 2014. She currently resided at Bel Rae Senior Living Facility in Mounds View.

Norma was born on September 23, 1950. She graduated from St Cloud Tech in 1968. She married Keith Velde on November 15, 1969.

She worked at the University of Minnesota for over 40 years. Norma is survived by her daughter Amy Velde, her son Travis Velde, her brother Robert Roske and his wife Linda, brother-in-law David (Denise) Velde and brother-in-law Darrel (Jennifer) Velde, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Mike and Phyllis Roske, her husband Keith and brother-in-law Buck and his wife Ann Velde.
