Norman’s Obituary Norman E. Harrison, 70, of Merrimack passed away on Wednesday, March 6th, 2019 at his home. He was born on November 10, 1948 in Pawtucket, RI to the late Henry and Ruth (Wood) Harrison. He was raised and educated in Pawtucket, graduated from Pawtucket West in 1967 and from Roger Williams University in 1971.

Norman was an accountant for Verizon for many years before his retirement in 1994. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his two grandsons and pitching for Nashua Indoor Softball League as well as the Wayland MA Senior Softball League. He was very involved in the Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team and helped run many events throughout New England including Wounded Warrior Kid’s Camp for over 20 children with amputees.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Nancy (Sauvé) Harrison; a son, Robert Harrison and his partner Mary Mahaffrey of AR; a daughter, Jennifer Gagnon and her husband Michael; two grandsons, Ryan and Sean Gagnon; his sister-in-law Leslie Marcoux and her husband Maurice; four siblings, Nancy Gauvin and her husband Donald of ME, Kathleen Davis and her husband John of NC, Paul Harrison of RI , and Donna Boudreau and her husband Roy of RI, along with several nieces and nephews. Memorial calling hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Tuesday, March 12th from 4 – 6 PM.
