Norman Forrest “Bud” Horton Jr., a resident of Dewar, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 in Dewar, OK at the age of 74. He was born July 26, 1944 in Paso Robles, CA to Norman Forrest Horton Sr. & Flossie Jeanetta (Haggard) Horton. He proudly served during the Vietnam War in the United States Army.

He was a member of the Dewar First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Horton, Sr. and Flossie Jeanetta Horton, and by three brothers, James F. Horton, Steven J. Horton, and Michael Horton. Norman is survived by his wife Alma Leatta Horton of the home, son, Christopher Horton & wife Jennifer of Highlandville, Missouri, son, Cody Horton & wife Jessica of Whitehouse, Texas, son, Michael George & Fiancé Patti of Okmulgee, daughter, Staci Alsover & husband Russell of Henryetta, daughter, Rhonda Blackwell & husband Ross of Pierce, Oklahoma, 10 Grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren, sister, Barbara Kaler & husband Sam of Dewar, brother, Marck Horton of Kansas City, Missouri, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be from 8am – 8pm on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Integrity Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Chase Horton, Gary McGowin II, Chris Horton, Mike George, Cody Horton, and Russell Alsover. Honorary Pallbearers will be Christopher Horton, Devin George, Nick George, Chad McGowin, Chad Hares, Joseph Horton, and Xander Alsover.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Vance, officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn cemetery in Henryetta.

Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
