Norman O. Snow, Sr., 92, of North Little Rock went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 4, 2019. He was born September 11, 1926 in Swifton, Arkansas, preceding him in death by his parents, Otto and Ruby Snow; brother, Harold and two sisters, Helen and Mildred. He lived in North Little Rock for 60 years, worked and retired from Fort Roots Veteran Hospital as a Nursing Tech, working with groups and individuals.

He was awarded the National Aide of the Year and the award was presented by Jenette Rockefeller. He was a veteran of World War II and Korea serving on three different ships, a destroyer and an aircraft carrier. One of his special assignments was to deliver 5 atomic bombs to the Marshall Islands, remembering it to be a life remembering event, seeing this explosion but glad it was just a test.

Norman was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church and taught junior boys, Royal Ambassadors, a Director in adult Sunday school, and serving on several committees, including usher, greeter, offering and Deacon. He loved God, the church and his family. He was married to Dorma Jean York at Second Baptist Church in 1949 and had five children, son, Norman Jr., (Mary Joan) of North Hollywood, California; daughters, Phyllis Lewis (Steve), Nellie Mosley (Bill), Edith Aloway (Mark) and Norma Williams (Cliff), all of North Little Rock.

He was loved by 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 11:30 AM, Friday, May 10, 2019, at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Preston Clegg, and Dr. James Thomason, with a visitation one hour prior to service. Burial with military honors will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.

Arrangements by Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Second Baptist Church, 8th and Scott, Little Rock.
