OBITUARY Norris D. Nyland November 27, 1936 – November 29, 2018 Nyland, Norris D. Age 82 of Blaine, passed peacefully on November 29th, 2018 in Brooklyn Park. Norris was born November 27th, 1936 in Falun, MN. Preceded in death by wife, Valerie Wahl Nyland; parents, Torkel & Marie Nyland; sister, Diana Smalley; and brother, Lennan Nyland.

He is survived by daughters, Lori Nyland (Richard Lachapelle) and Alanna Lemieux; Alanna’s sons, Jeff and Justin Nyland; and sisters, Helen Komplein and Velma (Manley) Olmstead. Norris was a US Navy Veteran and served stateside and overseas. He had many jobs throughout his life; most recently he drove for Minneapolis Transit and Kottkes’ Bus Service.

Norris loved to fish and enjoyed playing cards and working in his vegetable garden. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and watching his grandsons grow. Norris’ faith was important to him.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM, Thursday, 5/6/18 with visitation one hour prior at Peace Lutheran Church, 20 Northdale Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids. Private interment.
