Obal Daugherty, age 91, of Jacksboro passed away on Friday November 2, 2018. He was a member of Cumberland View Baptist Church, and an expert fisherman. Mr. Daugherty was a retired US Navy Veteran Chief Petty Officer retiring with Honors after serving 21 years.

He served in WW II, Korean and the Vietnam conflict. Preceded in death by son Rick Daugherty , daughter Rita Jane Daugherty Branam, parents Abraham and Louella Shoopman Daugherty, brothers, Theodore, Elmer, Lawrence, Carlos, Albert, Extol, Clifford and Abraham Daugherty Jr, sisters Carrie Daugherty and Zora Goodman. Survived by wife Thelma Daugherty of Jacksboro, daughter Elaine L. Daugherty of Jacksboro, granddaughter Stacie Davis of Jacksboro, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday November 6, 2018 in chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home, funeral service will follow at 7:00 with Rev. Jimmy Ault and Rev. Larry Russell officiating.

Family and friends will meet at 10:15 am on Wednesday November 7, 2018 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home and go in funeral procession to Cumberland View cemetery for a 11:00 am interment with Campbell County Honor Guard in charge of graveside service.
