Odell ton, Jr. age 96 of Oneida, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at his home. Born in Scott County on May 24, 1923, he was a decorated WWII Veteran, serving in the 82nd and 101st Air Borne and the 1st Special Forces. Everyone he met knew his generous nature.
He was preceded in death by his parents Odell and Lillie Bell ton; wife Dorothy ton; sisters: Georia Lee Estes and Cleo Murphree; brother-in-law Von Murphree. He is survived by his sons: Terry (Chris) ton and John (Jennifer) ton; daughters: Penny (John) Hood and Judy Connolly; grandchildren: Aaron ton, Dana (Dan) MacGregor, Samantha Hood, Sean Connolly, Robby and Alex ton, Merisa Gordon, and Dan and Emily Nawrocki; great granddaughter Drew; brother-in-law Kenneth Estes, special relatives and friends Mick Reed, Max Carroll and Tim King; special friend and caregiver Skylar Newport; many other relatives and friends. Friends may visit with the ton family on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 3 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 6 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro.
Chris Sewell officiating. Interment will follow in the ton Memorial Cemetery in the Paint Rock Community.
