Obituary for Mr. Oliver Blige Oliver Blige, was born March 30, 1938 in Bryan County, Richmond Hill, Georgia. On Monday, October 10, 2016 Providence granted Oliver that which life could no longer give –health and wholeness. His body simply could no longer serve him, and in faith we affirm that God gave him eternal life.

“Blige” as he was affectionately known, received his formal education in the Georgia Public School system where he graduated from Alfred E. Beach High School. After high school he married Martha Arnold, of Savannah, GA. He relocated to Baltimore, MD where he worked as a Licensed Master Plumber before opening his own business, Rambo Plumbing and Heating, Inc., where he worked for 24 years until he retired.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearl Nance, his daughter Denise Blige, and his son, Vincent Blige. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Martha Blige of Savannah, GA; daughter Margot Holloway (Howard) of Baltimore, MD; his granddaughter, Vini. Sloan (Theodore) and his great-grandchildren, Romario Armstrong and Jazale Sloan of Orange Park, FL; his sister, Louise B. Johnson and nephew Jerome Blige (Edna) of Savannah, GA; his Sister-in-Law Mary Arnold of Brooklyn, NY and nephew Phillip Days (Tracy) of Baltimore, MD, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
