Opal Jean Hood March 11, 1927 – December 18, 2018 Ms. Opal Jean Hood, age 91, of Ball Ground, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Woodstock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2018 at Ophir Baptist Church with Rev. Clyde Boling, Rev.

Stacey Smith and Rev. Dean Pugh officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Sosebee Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Mrs. Hood was a member of Ophir Baptist Church. She enjoyed working outside and flower gardening. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Delores Langford.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Going (Steve) and Brenda Wood (Paul); son-in-law, Roger Langford; sisters, Kathleen Chadwick and Wanda Buchanan; grandchildren, Dwayne Holt, Chris Holt, Selena Anderson and Kimberly Rojas; great grandchildren, Katlyne Flores, Taylor Holt, Riley Anderson, Bailey Anderson and Cameron Holt; great-great grandchild, Sophia Flores; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Sosebee Funeral Home, Canton, GA is honored to serve the family.
