Ordetta V. Woudema, age 89 of DeMotte, Indiana passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 at home. Ordetta was born in Streator, Illinois on September 27, 1929, the daughter of Floyd and Mary Thelma (Spitler) Logsdon. She attended Mt.

Ayr public schools. Ordetta married the love of her life, Andrew Woudema Jr., on September 28, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 9, 1982.

She was employed as a clerk for Fagan pharmacy for 29 years. Ordetta was a member of Royal Neighbors. She loved to garden and liked to cook.

Ordetta is survived by her children: Leslie (Carol) Woudema of DeMotte, IN; Gary (Linda) Woudema of Burns Harbor, IN; Phyllis Wait of Lafayette, IN; Joyce Davis of Lake Village, IN; Andrew (Joann) Woudema III of Winamac, IN; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 9 great great-grandchildren; sisters: Donna Lagaveen of DeMotte, IN and Patricia (John) Buckley of Chicago, IL. Ordetta is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters: Florence Burkholder, Arlene Madison and one brother: Floyd H. Logsdon, and 2 sons-in-law, Keith Wait and Rex Davis. Friends may call at the Jackson Funeral Service in DeMotte, Indiana on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Jackson Funeral Service in DeMotte at 1:00 PM with Pastor Derald Ailes officiating. Interment will follow at Holland Cemetery. To share a memory with the Woudema family, please visit www.
