Oscar Brewington, 93, passed away on Saturday February 2, 2019 at ARMC. He was the son of the late Henry Oscar Brewington and Lessie Stewart Brewington. He was a WW II combat veteran of the Pacific and served in the US Navy and US Army.

He was retired from American Tobacco Company. Survivors include his daughter, Laverne Martin of Mebane, sons; William Monroe Knight (Kathy) of Hillsborough, daughter in law Glenda Knight, Bobby Ray Knight of Graham, sister; Beauty Lee Brewington of Godwin, NC, eight grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Essie Kathleen Thornton Brewington and a son Larry Gray Knight.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 on Monday February 4, 2019 at McClure Funeral and Cremation Service in Mebane, the funeral service will follow at 3pm in the McClure Chapel. Internment will take place in Gospel Baptist Tabernacle Church Cemetery in Hillsborough with Military Honors.
