Obituary Otufangavalu, known to those closest to her as Valu, returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father surrounded by loved ones in Murray on April 24, 2019 at the age of 56. She was born on September 17, 1962 in Fahefa Tongatapu Tonga to Sione Hia Katoa and the late Sisilia Laukau Moa. Valu was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.

She was known for her God fearing nature, love for family, energy for life and passion for all things important to her. Among the many things she enjoyed, Valu loved music and dancing which made her the “Dancing Queen” of the family. Those moments will deeply be missed!

Valu held family dear, she loved to be surrounded by them, especially her kids and grandchildren. She lived every moment to spend with her grandkids. She knew that God was the only one that would guide and direct her life, as well as watch over those that she held so dear.

Valu is survived by her loving husband, Maveni; Children, Tolina (Frank), Naisa (Susan), Inoke (Kalo), Siola’a (Tipiloma), Sione Katoa, Vilisoni (Ana) and 13 grandchildren; Father, Sione Hia; Sister Tapenisi and many more family members. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Sisilia; Sister, Pelenita; Son, Siale and Grandson, Prince. Viewing will be held Friday, May 3, 2019 at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel at 4760 S State Street from 6pm-11pm.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel at 10:30am. Interment Redwood Memorial Cemetery. To send flowers to the family of Otufangavalu Katoa Angilau, please visit Tribute Store.
