Obituary for Palmetta C. Wagner Palmetta C. Wagner, age 100, of Collingswood passed away peacefully on January 9, 2019. She was born to the late Phillip and Eleanora (nee Palatini) DiBerardino in Camden, NJ. After graduating high school, Palmetta continued her education at The Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science.

A talented seamstress, she was known for designing and sewing custom wedding dresses. Widowed at 34 with two young children, she returned to school at Temple University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree. Palmetta supported her young family while sharing her sewing expertise as a Home Economics teacher at Woodrow Wilson High School.

She passed on her love of travel to her son, Ralph, and enjoyed reminiscing about visits to Europe, South America, and North Africa over a glass of Proseco. Always stylish with her hair impeccably coiffed by her daughter, Lenore, she was most happy during visits from her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Ralph Corsi and Lenore Pellegrino; sister, Rose DiStefano (Angelo); grandchildren, Deanne Pellegrino (CJ), Christopher Corsi, Adam Corsi (Nanci), and Elizabeth Tulig (Brad); great-grandchildren, Madeline Corsi, Peyton Walther, Rhett Walther, Jackson Corsi, Piper Corsi, Violet Tulig, Teddy Corsi, Graham Tulig, Poppy Tulig, and Penn Corsi; and dear friends, Mary Galligan and Claire Holahan.

Palmetta is predeceased by her husband, Torendo Corsi and siblings, Mary Lavecchia, Yolanda Van Laeys, Louis DiBerardino, and Josephine Cin. Funeral services are under the care and direction of Mahaffey-Milano Funeral Home and will be held privately.
