Pamela E. Brucato of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019, in Brookdale Niagara, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Bombay, India, September 5, 1927 to Alfred Williams and Kathleen Stracey, Pam was raised with her half-sister Magalie by her adoptive parents Maxime and Flora Baissac and attended convent schools in Dehra Dun, Darjeeling and Calcutta. Known affectionately as “Manon” to her friends and family, serendipity brought her to employment in the Personal Affairs department headed by one Lt.

Paul J. Brucato at U.S. AAFB at Barrackpore in 1945. Paul and Pam wed at St. Thomas Church in Calcutta on April 13, 1946 and enjoyed 62 rewarding years of marriage until Paul’s death in 2008. Pam was a school secretary with the Niagara Falls Board of Education for many years, however her working years did not end with her retirement there, she continued working as a dedicated Home Care Aide with HANCI into her eighties.

A resident of Lewiston since 1970, Pam embraced her new community and ever industrious, pursued many activities and hobbies. An accomplished seamstress, she also enjoyed home decorating and gardening, but was especially proud of her basket-making skills. She took great pleasure in entertaining family and friends with wonderful home-cooked dinners overlooking the Niagara River.

Even with this active life, there was always time to explore the world with many travels with husband Paul and son John. She will be missed by her son John (Susan) Brucato, two grandchildren Julie (Todd) Macgregor and Martin (Julie) Brucato, five great-grandchildren; Hannah, Elisha, and Noah Macgregor, and Ben and Claire Brucato, many nieces and nephews, Brenda Brucato, and many cherished friends. Her family will be present on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Peter’s Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY, with Msgr.

David G. LiPuma officiating. Pamela was very devout throughout her life and a faithful believer in the power of prayer, attending Mass daily for many years until dementia made this difficult. Memorials may be made in her name to St. Peter’s Church, Lewiston, NY.
