Pamella E. “Pam” Windham, 95 of Marietta passed away on May 1, 2019. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta, Ga. Miss Pamella, known mostly by Pam, was born on Dec.

18, 1923 in New Orleans to Mildred and Benton Windham and moved to Georgia at an early age. She graduated from Osborne High School, and attended Bessie Tift College, Peabody College for Teachers and Georgia State College. Pam served in the United States Coast Guard Women’s Reserve during WWII.

She taught elementary school in Marietta and Cobb County School Systems for a number of years and proudly won the Cobb County Teacher of the Year award for 1974-1975. She was a member of GracePointe Baptist Church (formerly Crestview Baptist), ADK Teacher Sorority, Fidelis Lambda Chapter, Order of Eastern Star Chapter # 208, Hurricane Legion Post # 29. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home, 505 Waterworks Road, Palmetto, GA 30268.
