Pari Cecchini, age 76, of Boynton Beach, FL passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 after a long and courageous four-year battle with multiple myeloma. She left this world exactly as she desired, under hospice care in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by the love and support of her immediate family. Born June 6, 1942 in Nishapur, Iran, Pari earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mashad.

She commenced her lifelong career in education at the Tehran College of Insurance and the R.C.D. Int. College of Insurance Tehran, where she taught for nine years until relocating to the United States during the Iranian Revolution in 1979. In the United States, Pari earned a second Bachelor of Arts (1982) and a Master of Arts in English (1984) from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL, where she was also a member of the Sigma Tau Delta National English Honor Society.

After graduating, she joined the English Department faculty at Broward College in Davie, FL, where she served as an English professor for twenty years, until her retirement in 2005. Pari truly enjoyed life to its fullest, energetically engaging in her favorite pastimes and hobbies with an unrivaled joy and vitality, including: oil painting; teaching & performing middle eastern dance; exercising and practicing yoga; dancing with her husband; accepting public speaking engagements; spending time with her many friends; reading; traveling extensively and tending to her garden (and, of course, her ever-growing collection of orchids! ).

Above all, Pari cherished spending quality time with her daughters and with her large, extended family, all of whom she loved deeply. Pari, who was predeceased by her parents, Kazem Hamidinia (Oct. 1974) & Maryam Khatami (Dec.

2017) and beloved sister, Sima Hamidinia (June 2017), is survived by her husband, Thomas B. Cecchini of Boynton Beach, FL; her four daughters, Mary Jane Sperty of Alpharetta, GA; Sue Nast of Pensacola, FL, Sharon Donnigan of Royal Palm Beach, FL and Karen Fullam of Riverview, FL; her three brothers, Ahmad Hamidinia, M.D. of Leesburg, VA; Mahmoud Hamidinia of Mashad, Iran; and Mehdi Hamidinia of Stockholm, Sweden. In accordance with her wishes, Pari’s family will honor her life privately. In her remembrance, in lieu of flowers, kindly contribute to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation at tribute.
