Obituary for Pasquale A. Turano Pasquale A. Turano of Brooklyn, NY passed away with his family at his side on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Pat, as he was called, was born in Brooklyn on April 13, 1929. He was the son of Pietro Turano and Raffaela (Nardi) Turano.

On January 8, 1961 he married the love of his life, Vittoria “Vicky” (Mazzaro) Turano who predeceased him in November of 1989. He is survived by their three children Rose (Turano) Savallo, Teresa Turano and Patrick Turano; seven grandchildren Victoria, Maria and Nicholas Savallo, Samantha, Stephanie, Melissa and Anthony Turano; five great grandchildren Olivia, Julian, Josiah, Mariah and Henry; and siblings Anthony Turano and Jean (Turano) Fuzie. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his siblings Michael Turano, Rose (Turano) Ascoli, Ida (Turano) D’Alessio and John Turano.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He has been retired from his job as a Sewage Treatment Plant Supervisor at the NYSDEP for 27 years. He was a member of the American Legion Fort Hamilton Memorial Post 27 and the Baron DeKalb Council No.

1073 of the Knights of Columbus. He loved to take trips to Atlantic City and to call BINGO at the Amico Senior Citizen Center where he served a term as President. He was a funny guy, always telling jokes and making people laugh wherever he went.

In his earlier days, he enjoyed flying his pigeons and bowling in a league. He liked to cook and bake and was known for his sheet cakes. He spent his time watching game shows especially Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud.
