Obituary for Pastor John Erwin Ericson Pastor J. Erwin Ericson passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior on January 10, 2019 at the age of 94. He was born in Willmar, MN on May 8, 1924 to J. Einer and Fausta Ericson who preceded him in death along with three brothers—Elmer, Donald, and Lester. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wilna.

He is survived by three daughters—Karen Pickering (Dale), Barbara Reynolds (Michael), and Sandra Ericson, together with four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Erwin graduated from Northwestern Theological Seminary in June 1949 at which time he began in the pastorate of his first church. He married Wilna Sherard on June 24, 1949.

He, together with his wife, Wilna, faithfully served the Lord in six churches for over fifty years. One of his favorite Bible verses was Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me”. A visitation will be held at 12:00PM-1:00PM, Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80910.

Funeral Service will be 1:00PM, Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Evergreen Funeral Home. The internment will be a private service at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry, Inc., or Russian Christian Radio.
