OBITUARY Pat Edward Martchenke August 20, 1934 – November 25, 2018 Patrick Edward Martchenke, 84, passed away on November 25, 2018. Patrick Edward Martchenke was born on August 20, 1934 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Earl and Mary Martchenke. He was the third of their six children.

Pat grew up in Colorado Springs and Racine, Wisconsin. He was married for 14 years to Lillian Estes Martchenke and they would have 5 children. After Lillian’s death, he married Carolyn Traupe in 1969 and lived the remainder of his life in Fort Worth.

Pat owned his own business, PEMCO, manufacturing trash containers. His employees were associated with the Federal Correctional Facility work release program. The outdoors was his passion and he planted and harvested hay for several area doctors during the 80’s and 90’s.

He worked tirelessly throughout his children’s young lives at Red Tiger PeeWee Football Association and East Side Little League. He organized the girls’ fast pitch softball league at East Side in 1967 and was the softball Commissioner that first year, as well as maintaining the ball fields. Pat was an avid baseball fan.

He and Carolyn have been Texas Rangers season ticket holders since 1972, the Rangers first year in Texas. This past summer they received an award for being one of the longest running season ticket holders. Pat delivered for Meals on Wheels for 10 years.

Pat built their custom home in south Fort Worth, complete with a basement, a feature he missed from his youth. Other interests were his English Bulldogs, raising over 14 “bullies” during his lifetime. He is survived by Carolyn Traupe Martchenke, his wife of 49 years, five children; son Steve Martchenke and wife Julie and their children Lilabeth and Ethan, daughter Kay Armstrong and her children, Angela and Keith Boone and their children Kade and Kash, Laura and Brent Ward and their children Channing and Campbell, Richard Armstrong, and his daughter Chloe, daughter Carolee Bridges and her children Katie and Ernie England and their children Hunter, Elizabeth and Ellie, Blake (RIP) and his children Dylan, Breanna, Bailey, and Draden, daughter Mary and husband Adolph Chapa and their children Natalie and Nolan, and daughter Michele Martchenke.

Three brothers; Earl Martchenke of Colorado, Don Martchenke of Arizona and David Martchenke of California.
