Patricia A. Kaufman February 13, 1943 – May 04, 2019 Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Hiawatha………Patricia A. Kaufman, 76, of Hiawatha formerly of Falls City, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, May 4, 2019, at Hiawatha Community Hospital. She previously had been a resident of Maple Heights Nursing Home. Pat was born at Willis, Texas, February 13, 1943, to Jasper Mancuso and Vernece Lash Tey.

She grew up in Texas before coming to the Falls City, Nebraska area where in later years she worked in housekeeping for businesses and residences there, also in food service. Pat was best known for her dog sitting capabilities for area families in Falls City. She was married to Charles L. “Bud” Kaufman, August 14, 1992.

They lived in Falls City where he worked for Sapp Brothers, a well known mechanic for Fowler Auto Service and as a handyman for the telephone company before retiring. They moved to Hiawatha to make their home in 2006 where they enjoyed retired life, tinkering around their home which they kept immaculate, and never meeting a stranger. He died February 19, 2012.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a great-grand-daughter LaDonna White. Survivors include a daughter Michele Beck (Hank) of Eastman, Georgia, a sister Linda Faye Larason, of Sequin, Texas, 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. It was her wish as was his to be cremated with no services planned, with burial of remains at Mt.

Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha. Chapel Oaks Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Brown County Humane Society, sent in care of the funeral home, 124 S 7th, Hiawatha.
