Obituary for Patricia A. Thiel Patricia A. Thiel age 79, of Upper Sandusky, died at her residence surrounded by family on Friday November 2, 2018. She was born April 12, 1939 in Cardington, OH to Oscar H. and Edna Mae (Hacker) Linstedt. She married Dennis Thiel and they later divorced.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Janine Thiel, son Patrick Thiel, a granddaughter and great grandson. Pat is survived by her children, Terry Sue (James) Baker, Upper Sandusky, James (Sandy) Thiel, Upper Sandusky, Barb (Matt) Harber, Fostoria, Randy (Lorry) Thiel, Upper Sandusky, Denise Traxler of Upper Sandusky, fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, sister Judy Metz of Marion. Mrs. Thiel graduated from Upper Sandusky High School and was a homemaker.
She was a member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. Pat was also a member of Red Hat Society, Mifflin Mother’s Club, Elks Emblem Club, Usando Literary Club and was a 4-H adviser. Her favorite passions included reading, crafting, and watching OSU football and other sporting events.
The apples of her eye were her grandchildren and great grandchildren, loving every moment she spent with them. She rarely missed their games or activities. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday Nov.
7, 2018 at 10:30am in St. Mary’s Chapel, Kirby with Father Anthony Coci officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Kirby. Family will receive friends on Tuesday Nov.
6, 2018 from 4pm-6pm at Bringman Clark Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky with a prayer service at 5:45pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter School, Wyandot Memorial Oncology Dept. or Hospice of Wyandot County in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E. Wyandot Ave.
