Obituary for Patricia A. Thomas Patricia A. (Gilmore) Thomas, 85, of Leesport, passed away on April 29, 2018, at Berks Heim. She was the beloved wife of George J. Thomas. They recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary this March.

Born in Reading on July 8, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John H. Gilmore and Evelyn (Hartman) Curry. She was a 1950 graduate of Reading High School. Patricia was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children: Michael L., husband of Joan E. Schmidt, Sinking Spring; Richard J. Schmidt, Wernersville; Anne M., wife of Mark Goldman, Chesterbrook; and Tracy L., wife of Paul J. Tibbetts, Wernersville; eight grandchildren: Andrea L., wife of Captain Robert T. Rupp, New Bern, NC; Michelle L., wife of Rob Case, Annandale, NJ; Matthew M. Schmidt and partner, Melissa High, Manheim; Brandon L. Schmidt and fiancee, Kaitlyn Kozlowski, Alexandria, VA; Sarah A. Heck, Reading; Jessica L. Heck, Bowmansville; Justin S. Heck, Wernersville; and Emily L. Tibbetts, Wernersville; and four great-grandchildren: Lyla Rose Rupp, Clara Jane Rupp, Michael M. Schmidt, and Mason R. Schmidt.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave. , West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home. Contributions may be made in Patricia’s memory to the American Heart Association at www. donatenow.
