Mrs. Patricia’s Obituary Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia Ann Avery 73, of Temple will be held Friday, February 22, 2019, 11:00 a.m., at Chisolm’s Family Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen, TX. Burial will follow the service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX. Visitation will be held on Thursday February 21, 2019, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Chisolm’s Family Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen, TX.

Mrs. Avery passed away February 11, 2019, in Temple, TX. She was born on November 9, 1945, in Franklin, LA. Patricia “Pat” Green Avery was born in rural St. Mary Parish in Bayou Sale, LA on November 9, 1945 to the late Willie Green Sr. and Sidonia (Cage) Green.

She graduated from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with a Business degree, then moved to Richland, Washington where she met and married Henry L. Avery on November 28, 1970. Pat worked as a corporate manager for many years. Her life’s passion and devotion was to love on her family and friends.

Her home was filled with laughter, good food and good times. Her life was rich with the love of family and friends. She was the kindest most generous and joyful wife, mother, grandma, sister, auntie, and friend in the whole world.

Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 48 years, Henry L. Avery; her devoted daughters: Kim Wells (Curtis) of Seattle, WA, ReEtta Avery of Portland, OR, Vivian Boozer of Temple, TX; her siblings: Nellie G. Watkins of Lafayette, LA, Rochester Green (Lucille) of Round Rock, TX; Larry Green (Brenda) of Franklin, LA, Clarence “Nat” Batiste of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one godson, Donovan Prado; and a whole host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. A very special acknowledgement of close family friend, Charlise Perryman, who took great care of Pat. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie Green Sr. and Sidonia (Cage) Green; siblings: Willie Green Jr., Elvira Green, Milton Burley Green, Lester Green; and niece, Keesha Shayneen Green.
